IDD Delivers Interactive Touch-screen Exhibit for the Science Museum of Virginia
Blacksburg, Virginia, January 15, 2010
IDD has developed an interactive touch-screen exhibit on streams and climate change for the Science Museum of Virginia. The interactive exhibit will be on display in three separate locations: at the Science Museum's Life Sciences Gallery in Richmond, Virginia; the visitor's center of the Prince William Forest Park; and the visitor's center of the Lower Potomac Field Station on Mason Neck. The exhibit invites visitors to "come play in the water" with a series of fun educational activities. After learning about how streams are classified, visitors can "go fishing" in streams of various types and sizes to learn about the fish and other organisms living there, and then evaluate the water quality based on samples collected. Activities on how climate change affects stream life as well as current research being conducted by the Science Museum are also included.
