The Library of Congress Gets a Facelift

5/1/2013
Library of Congress Primary SourcesIDD is pleased to announce it has just completed an update to the "Finding Primary Sources" online module for teachers at the Library of Congress website. This custom application module helps teachers use shortcuts to find primary sources to use with their students and reflects recent changes to the search techniques used at LOC.gov.

IDD developed six online courses for teachers, each of which can be taken for continuing education and /or professional development credit.  In recent months, IDD also updated three other custom apps and modules: Introduction to the Library of Congress, Analyzing Primary Sources: Photographs & Prints and Analyzing Primary Sources: Maps. All updates were made to highlight new search strategies and other updates made to the LOC.gov website, which continues to be a fantastic resource for teachers looking to use primary sources with their students.
